Deck overview

This Orzhov Midrange deck pairs Amalia Benavides Aguirre with a dense suite of low-cost lifegain creatures to generate consistent board presence and card filtering. In the early turns, creatures like Soul Warden and Guide of Souls trigger Amalia whenever a creature enters the battlefield, allowing her to explore repeatedly to smooth land drops and grow in power. As the game transitions into the middle turns, the deck converts regular lifegain triggers into substantial board advantage using token producers like Angelic Accord, Resplendent Angel, and Valkyrie Harbinger. Because the deck operates without fast mana or infinite combos, it closes games through steady attrition and wide aerial combat damage. While highly resilient against aggro due to its escalating life total, the deck remains vulnerable to mass board wipes and must carefully rebuild its engine across multiple turns.
