Deck overview

This Mono-Black Aristocrats and Superfriends deck is helmed by Liliana, Heretical Healer, combining graveyard recursion, sacrifice synergies, and Liliana planeswalker attrition. The early game focuses on developing mana through black staples and deploying cheap sacrifice fodder. By Turn 4, Liliana transforms into Liliana, Defiant Necromancer, generating a 2/2 Zombie token while disrupting opponents' hands with repeatable discard and reanimating key utility creatures. Mid-game turns establish heavy resource engines like Black Market Connections, Skullclamp, and Grave Pact to lock down opposing creature strategies. The primary win condition is an aristocrats loop using Gravecrawler, Phyrexian Altar, and a drain outlet such as Blood Artist or Ayara, First of Locthwain, terminating the game on Turn 6 with 0 opponent response cycles. Alternatively, the deck scales into devastating big-mana finishers like Torment of Hailfire or storms with Bolas's Citadel. While vulnerable to instant-speed graveyard exile and artifact removal, the deck boasts remarkable recursion and redundancy.
