Arena of Stax (B4) by Kayanous

Format: Commander

Commander: Merieke Ri Berit

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Esper stax/combo deck built around Merieke Ri Berit as a repeatable theft-and-destroy tool. The primary plan is to slow the table with Drannith Magistrate, Archon of Emeria, Lavinia, and tap-down enchantments, then break parity with an artifact untap engine. Aphetto Alchemist plus Unctus, Grand Metatect can draw through the library; adding Grim Monolith, Ioreth, Leyline of Singularity, Sakashima, and Marvin turns that into infinite colored mana and wins through Halo Fountain or double Approach of the Second Sun. Merieke is a control piece, not the engine. Rona's front face acts as a looter; its transforming back is a niche late-game threat, not the build-around.
