Deck overview

This Rakdos deck is a synergistic spellslinger and burn strategy commanded by Kuja, Genome Sorcerer. Kuja creates 0/1 black Wizard tokens on your end step that deal 1 damage to each opponent whenever you cast a noncreature spell. Once you control four Wizards, Kuja transforms into Trance Kuja, Fate Defied, which doubles all damage dealt by your Wizards. The deck supports this game plan with a high density of cheap, interactive instant and sorcery spells, token-sacrifice card draw, and auxiliary damage amplifiers such as Tomik, Izzet Sparkmage and Guttersnipe. By weaving efficient spot removal and draw spells into explosive multi-spell turns, the deck rapidly drains all three opponents simultaneously. If Kuja is answered, backup burn engines and reanimation spells like Reanimate and Animate Dead provide resilience and alternate paths to victory.
