Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Hero tribal midrange engine piloted by Karolina Dean, Runaway. Karolina's ability provides a full {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} burst at the beginning of each first main phase, with the critical restriction that this mana cannot be spent to cast spells directly from hand. The deck cleverly breaks parity on this restriction by funneling that mana into activated abilities—specifically the high-cost transform abilities of double-faced Hero creatures such as Bruce Banner // The Incredible Hulk, Eddie Brock // Venom, Lethal Protector, and Miles Morales // Ultimate Spider-Man—or into spells cast from exile via impulse engines like Daredevil, Man Without Fear, Light Up the Stage, and Interdimensional Web Watch. Once transformed, these threats dominate the red zone, supported by anthems like Avengers Assemble! and draw engines like Trouble in Pairs. The deck wins through compounding combat damage, maintaining resilience through secondary protection pieces like Spectacular Spider-Man.
