kellan cascade by user7523578

Format: Commander

Commander: Kellan, the Kid

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Bant "cast from anywhere other than your hand" value deck, helmed by Kellan, the Kid. Every foretold, plotted, suspended, adventured, cascaded, or top-of-library cast converts into a free permanent from hand or an extra land drop via Kellan's trigger. The 99 is a dense web of out-of-hand cast engines: a dozen Foretell cards, three suspend spells, a plot/adventure package, four cascade creatures, and top-deck engines like The Reality Chip, One with the Multiverse, Chimil, the Inner Sun, and Fblthp, Lost on the Range. Card advantage comes from the landfall pair (Tatyova, Benthic Druid, Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait) and creature-cast engines (Chulane, Teller of Tales, Rashmi, Eternities Crafter). Wins typically arrive through attrition and combat - cascading into Apex Devastator and Quandrix, the Proof, then closing with Alrund's Epiphany or massive tramplers. Notably, the deck functions nearly as well without ever casting its commander.
