Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis kindred midrange strategy built around Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. It leverages a dense suite of Marvel Villain creatures to trigger connive, loot through the library, and buff attackers with +1/+1 counters and menace. Incremental land-discard triggers burn opponents while filtering cards, supported by engines like Bone Miser, Archfiend of Ifnir, and Leader, Super-Genius. The deck ramps on Turns 1–3 using artifacts and low-curve Villains, deploys Doctor Doom on Turn 4, and builds a commanding board presence by Turn 5. On Turn 6, top-end threats such as The Squadron Sinister, Titania, Proud Pummeler, and Living Laser create a lethal combat clock backed by life drain. While the deck possesses comprehensive on-board removal and asymmetric sweepers, it carries minimal countermagic and relies on high creature density and reanimation to recover from opposing interaction.
