Deck overview

This Golgari deck is led by Chatterfang, Squirrel General, focusing on overwhelming token generation, creature control, and aristocrat drain. The strategy ramps on early turns to deploy Chatterfang on Turn 3, followed by token producers such as Peregrin Took, Academy Manufactor, and Tireless Provisioner. Chatterfang replaces every token creation event by adding an equal number of 1/1 green Squirrels, rapidly expanding the board state. These Squirrels serve dual purposes: they act as ammunition for Chatterfang's activated ability to pick off opposing creatures at instant speed, and fuel sacrifice outlets like Skullclamp and Plumb the Forbidden for massive card advantage. The deck closes games around Turns 6-7 using anthem and overrun effects like Beastmaster Ascension and End-Raze Forerunners, or through aristocrat drain triggers from Mirkwood Bats, Bastion of Remembrance, and Zulaport Cutthroat. It also includes an infinite Squirrel combo with Scurry Oak and Ivy Lane Denizen.
