Deck overview

This Esper Commander deck leverages Sidar Jabari of Zhalfir to execute an aggressive tribal combat and reanimation strategy. From turn one, the commander's eminence ability provides free card selection on every Knight attack, allowing the deck to smooth land drops and discard high-cost threats directly into the graveyard. On turn four, Sidar Jabari enters the battlefield and uses flying and first strike to safely connect in combat, immediately reanimating powerful payoffs such as Herald of Hoofbeats, Vodalian Wave-Knight, or Silverwing Squadron. This reanimation bypasses mana costs and rapidly assembles a wide, evasive army. While the deck features efficient spot removal like Swords to Plowshares and protection like Knight Exemplar and Unbreakable Formation, it lacks compact infinite combos and fast mana, relying entirely on honest multi-turn combat damage to eliminate opponents.
