Deck overview

This is an Esper "noncreature spell matters" life-drain deck helmed by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. The core loop is casting mana value 3+ noncreature spells to trigger Y'shtola's ping (2 damage to each opponent, 2 life gained) while her end-step clause draws cards whenever any player loses 4+ life in a turn. The deck layers multiple redundant drain payoffs - Papalymo Totolymo, Kambal, Consul of Allocation, Emet-Selch of the Third Seat, and Transpose wizard tokens - so every instant and sorcery becomes a miniature Exsanguinate. Life gain is converted into damage through Sanguine Bond, with a big Exsanguinate as the primary finisher. A secondary token-combat channel exists via Champions from Beyond, G'raha Tia, Scion Reborn, and Summon: Good King Mog XII. This is a grindy, value-oriented control deck that wins through attrition rather than a fast combo.
