Deck overview

This Bant midrange deck leverages Tidus, Yuna's Guardian to build an overwhelming board state through +1/+1 counters and consistent proliferation. The early game focuses on deploying efficient counter enablers like Shelinda, Yevon Acolyte, Hardened Scales, and scalable mana dorks such as Incubation Druid. Once Tidus enters the battlefield on Turn 3, the engine comes online on Turn 4, drawing cards and proliferating counters each combat step. The midgame compounds this advantage using powerful Final Fantasy X synergies like Wakka, Devoted Guardian and Forgotten Ancient to create massive creatures. By Turn 6, the deck presents game-ending pressure through combat overruns like Chocobo Knights for table-wide double strike, Rikku, Resourceful Guardian for unblockable attacks, or an asymmetric wipe in Damning Verdict. While vulnerable to exile-based sweepers and lacking direct tutors, the list boasts high internal redundancy, strong board resilience via Resourceful Defense and Inspiring Call, and reliable multi-turn combat inevitability.
