Gandalf

Format: Commander

Commander: Gandalf, Westward Voyager

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Simic ramp deck accelerates with land tutors and mana artifacts to cast spells with mana value 5 or greater and exploit Gandalf, Westward Voyager. Gandalf acts as a draw and copy engine: each 5+ spell either draws you a card or copies itself if an opponent reveals a matching card type. The primary plan chains draw triggers from Up the Beanstalk, Thunderous Snapper, and Zendikar Resurgent into cascade and big creatures like Apex Devastator. Secondary paths use infinite mana from Nyxbloom Ancient combinations to generate infinite bounces and draws. Imoti, Celebrant of Bounty serves as a hidden commander, giving all 6+ spells cascade and extending the value chain when Gandalf is unavailable.
