Deck overview

This deck is an Esper reanimator and tempo midrange list centered on Raffine, Scheming Seer. The primary strategy deploys low-cost evasive creatures and utility threats on turns 1 and 2, casts Raffine on turn 3, and attacks on turn 4 to connive heavily. Conniving filters through the deck, discarding high-impact creatures such as Archon of Cruelty, Toxrill, the Corrosive, and Valgavoth, Terror Eater directly into the graveyard. The deck then reanimates these threats using efficient spells like Reanimate, Animate Dead, and Victimize. Once a major bomb enters the battlefield, the deck transitions into an oppressive midrange engine. Reanimated creatures and connive-pumped threats clear opposing boards through continuous -1/-1 counters and forced sacrifices while dealing massive combat damage. Supported by flexible countermagic, uncounterable removal, and protective creatures like Boromir, Warden of the Tower, the deck steadily dismantles opposing boards and finishes opponents through overwhelming evasive attacks over turns 6 to 8.
