Deck overview

This Esper list is an Aura-control hybrid that uses Eriette, the Beguiler to steal opposing permanents while a classic enchantress-voltron package closes the game. Eriette's trigger takes any nonland whose mana value is less than or equal to the Aura just attached, so cheap hate-Auras like Darksteel Mutation and midrange ones like Necrotic Plague convert into theft. She is a 4-mana 4/4 lifelink - easy once, painful under tax - but she is not the only engine. Zur the Enchanter is a hidden commander who attacks to put any enchantment with mana value 3 or less onto the battlefield, and Eriette of the Charmed Apple drains each opponent for the number of Auras you control. Cost reducers, Aura-draw, pillowfort, and recursion let the 99 function as a self-contained enchantress strategy if Eriette never resolves. Wins come from stolen boards, voltron combat, and Charmed Apple drain rather than a fast combo kill.
