Deck overview

This Mono-White Voltron deck is commanded by Cloud, Midgar Mercenary, who acts as an Equipment tutor in the command zone and doubles all triggered abilities on himself and his attached gear. The deck establishes early board presence by casting Cloud on Turn 2 to search for high-impact tools like Sword of Feast and Famine, Genji Glove, Mithril Coat, or Excalibur, Sword of Eden. Leveraging equip-cost bypass engines such as Puresteel Paladin, Sigarda's Aid, Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist, and Forge Anew, Cloud equips efficiently and begins attacking on Turn 4 with doubled triggers. The strategy applies severe commander damage while gaining massive tempo from double combat damage triggers. A dense suite of single-mana and free protection spells shields Cloud from removal, while proactive pieces like Voice of Victory and Thalia, Heretic Cathar disrupt opposing timing, steadily eliminating opponents in sequence by Turn 6.
