Deck overview

This mono-black deck blends high-power Demon reanimation, explosive mana acceleration, and devastating life-loss synergies under the command of Ardyn, the Usurper. Rather than relying strictly on commander casting costs, the deck accelerates early via rituals, rocks, and graveyard tutors like Entomb and Buried Alive. It cheats massive Demon powerhouses into play on early turns, leveraging Vilis, Broker of Blood for massive card velocity, Razaketh, the Foulblooded for unconditional tutoring, and Archfiend of Depravity for continuous board suppression. The deck closes games decisively around Turn 5–6 through lethal life-halving synergies like Bloodletter of Aclazotz combined with Fraying Omnipotence or Pox Plague, mass reanimation with Living Death, or by swarming opponents with 5/5 Demon copies granted menace, lifelink, and haste by Ardyn.
