Deck overview

Ezio Auditore da Firenze gives the deck a clear combat-based plan: attack with an Assassin or the commander, reduce a player's life to 10 or less, then pay five colored mana to make that player lose. Quietus Spike is the strongest ordinary support because it halves life after combat damage, but it still needs repeated connections. The deck has excellent acceleration for its strategy, strong multicolor fixing, and several tutors. It also has useful card-flow engines in Black Market Connections, Basim Ibn Ishaq, Coastal Piracy, and Vraska Joins Up. Its main weakness is that the win requires several turns of combat and multiple specific permanents. Ramses, Assassin Lord can turn one successful loss into a game win, but its own cost and access make it an unreliable addition to the normal line. The result is a capable thematic midrange deck with explosive draws, not a consistently fast or compact competitive-combo deck.
