Deck overview

This deck is an Esper control and synergy engine helmed by Queza, Augur of Agonies, translating card advantage directly into opponent life loss and personal life gain. The early game focuses on deploying 2-mana artifacts and setting up incremental draw engines such as Howling Mine and Phyrexian Arena. Once Queza is established on Turn 4, the deck shifts toward high-velocity card draw and wheel effects like Windfall, Whispering Madness, and Teferi's Puzzle Box, which trigger multiple drain instances in rapid succession. Payoff enhancers like Marauding Blight-Priest, Enduring Tenacity, and Teferi's Ageless Insight accelerate the clock, while Ominous Seas generates massive 8/8 Kraken blockers and attackers. The deck also contains a potent combo finish with Drogskol Reaver, chaining draws and drains until opponents are eliminated or library limits are reached.
