Deck overview

This Mardu deck utilizes Isshin, Two Heavens as One to double triggered abilities triggered by attacking creatures, focusing heavily on Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty Samurai and 'attacks alone' mechanics. The strategy deploys low-curve Samurai, equips them with versatile weaponry, and attacks with a single champion to stack massive power buffs, double strike, and extra combat phases. While highly potent in individual combat encounters, the deck relies on sequential eliminations rather than wide board pressure or infinite combos. Its mana base features traditional land drops and several tapped dual lands, demanding disciplined early sequencing. Resilience comes from focused graveyard recovery cards like Brilliant Restoration and Norika Yamazaki, the Poet, alongside high-impact asymmetric board wipes including Ruinous Ultimatum and Farewell to reset opposing parity while pushing through lethal commander damage.
