Deck overview

This list is a competitive Dimir Midrange and Control deck helmed by Talion, the Kindly Lord. The deck excels at generating overwhelming card advantage by capitalizing on opponents' standard play patterns through Talion, Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora, and The One Ring. While accumulating resources and restricting opponents with asymmetric hate pieces like Opposition Agent, Cursed Totem, and Orcish Bowmasters, the deck maintains a dense suite of free and efficient countermagic to police the table. It converts this dominance into victory through the premier competitive win condition: Thassa's Oracle paired with Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact. Capable of winning as early as Turn 3 or grinding into the late game with superior card volume and instant-speed win lines via Borne Upon a Wind, the deck operates at the pinnacle of efficiency and adaptability.
