Deck overview

This deck uses Ghoulcaller Gisa to turn expendable creatures into Zombie bodies, then amplifies those bodies with Death Baron, Lord of the Accursed, Lord of the Undead, Undead Warchief, Liliana's Mastery, and Bad Moon. Grave Titan, Army of the Damned, and Endless Ranks of the Dead provide the largest board growth, while Ayara, First of Locthwain, Vengeful Dead, Undead Augur, and Midnight Reaper reward creatures entering or dying. The deck has respectable creature removal and graveyard interaction, but little protection and limited access to exact cards. Its ordinary plan is to establish Ghoulcaller Gisa around turn 6, build a threatening board around turn 8, and win through several combat steps or a large Gray Merchant of Asphodel trigger. Fast openings with Sol Ring can improve this clock, but they are exceptional rather than dependable. Board wipes, exile effects, and removal aimed at the commander remain major problems.
