Deck overview

Phenax, God of Deception turns high-toughness defenders into mill engines. The deck plays walls like Charix, the Raging Isle (0/17) and Glacial Wall (0/7) and taps them with Phenax to mill opponents out, amplified by The Water Crystal. Secondary paths use mass mill spells (Fractured Sanity, Maddening Cacophony, Traumatize) and drain outlets Duskmantle Guildmage and Syr Konrad, the Grim, with The Mindskinner converting damage to mill. Doomsday Excruciator shrinks libraries to six cards to set up a one-spell kill. Ashiok and Liliana planeswalkers provide card advantage and reanimation while you control the board with discard and counters.
