Wolfies by doogain

Format: Commander

Commander: Chief of the Wilds

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Chief of the Wilds leads a Golgari Wolf-tribal combat deck. It uses cheap Wolves, land ramp, and token makers to build a board, then converts Wolf entries into +1/+1 counters and attacks. Chief is the main payoff: whenever another Wolf enters, it gets two counters, while its second ability causes triggered abilities from other Wolves or battles to trigger an additional time. The strongest finishers are Unnatural Growth and large token waves, with equipment providing commander-damage and evasion lines. Draw engines such as Garruk's Uprising and Beast Whisperer keep the swarm moving. Chief is not double-faced, and no second or hidden commander is listed.
