Deck overview

This mono-black control deck turns Horobi, Death's Wail into a repeatable board wipe engine. By giving every targeted creature a lethal trigger, low-cost combat tricks like Stab and Disfigure, as well as reusable targeting permanents like Maze of Ith and Forsworn Paladin, become instant-speed kill spells. The deck controls the battlefield by suppressing creature-based strategies, equipment, and combat. Once the board is locked down, it transitions into a win through group draw attrition using Underworld Dreams and Font of Mythos, high-impact threats like Doomsday Excruciator and Armaggon, Future Shark, or planeswalker pressure from Sorin Markov. However, Horobi's symmetrical trigger makes the commander extremely fragile to any opposing target ability.
