Deck overview

This deck is an Esper reanimator strategy that uses Hashaton, Scarab's Fist to turn discarded creature cards into immediate board presence. By pairing low-cost discard outlets with high-impact creatures, the deck bypasses steep casting costs. When a creature card is discarded, Hashaton pays {2}{U} to create a 4/4 black Zombie token copy of that creature. This ability synergizes with traditional reanimation spells like Reanimate, Animate Dead, and Victimize, allowing you to deploy game-ending threats like Archon of Cruelty, Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, and Valgavoth, Terror Eater as early as Turn 4. The deck controls the game by combining heavy card advantage from Consecrated Sphinx and Notion Thief with asymmetric stax from Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite. A versatile interaction package of counterspells and removal protects your board while disrupting opposing strategies. Victory is achieved through overwhelming combat damage and life drain across consecutive turns.
