YGRA EATS SQUIRRELS by zonkbonk

Format: Commander

Commander: Ygra, Eater of All

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Ygra, Eater of All leads a Golgari token-sacrifice shell that turns every creature on the battlefield into a Food artifact, then grows massive off each one that dies. The deck's primary plan is to flood the board with Food, Squirrel, and Treasure tokens through generators like Academy Manufactor, Peregrin Took, and Tireless Provisioner, then cash them in for value via sacrifice outlets such as Ashnod's Altar and Pitiless Plunderer. Wins come from drain permanents (Mirkwood Bats, Nadier's Nightblade, Marionette Apprentice) that turn each death into life loss for the table, from a gigantic Ygra or End-Raze Forerunners in combat, or from a massive Exsanguinate fueled by infinite mana loops. The deck also has a strong Squirrel tribal subtheme, with Chatterfang, Squirrel General and Hazel of the Rootbloom amplifying token production and providing removal.
