Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Vampire tribal and aristocrats build commanded by Edgar, Charmed Groom. The strategy curves low-drop Vampire creatures into mid-game token generators and lord effects, buffing the board while draining opposing life totals with cards like Blood Artist, Cruel Celebrant, and Sanctum Seeker. The commander provides a resilient anthem effect that transforms into Edgar Markov's Coffin upon death, continuing to produce lifelink tokens before returning to the battlefield. Strong spot removal such as Swords to Plowshares, Path to Exile, and Get Lost keeps major opposing threats in check, while asymmetric board wipes like Olivia's Wrath break parity. The deck also includes the game-ending infinite combo of Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond as a natural top-end win condition, backed by phased protection from Clever Concealment and free defense from Flawless Maneuver.
