Deck overview

Azami, Lady of Scrolls commands a quintessential mono-blue Kindred Combo-Control deck that translates Wizard tribal density into overwhelming card advantage and decisive combo finishes. The deck's primary game plan revolves around deploying cheap, disruptive Wizards during the early turns, establishing Azami to draw multiple extra cards every turn cycle, and leveraging robust permission to dictate the pace of the game. On-board control pieces such as Patron Wizard and Harbinger of the Seas tax opponent spells and neutralize nonbasic mana bases, creating an oppressive developmental barrier. The deck pivots into a win by resolving Mind Over Matter, forming an infinite draw and mana loop with Azami that immediately empties the library into a Laboratory Maniac or Jace, Wielder of Mysteries victory. Backed by free counterspells like Force of Will and flexible bounce effects, the list provides steady interactive resilience while maintaining a lethal combo clock.
