Deck overview

This Bant +1/+1 counters deck helmed by Tidus, Yuna's Guardian is a midrange value engine that turns every creature into a growing threat. The commander's ability to move counters at combat and its Cheer trigger (draw and proliferate when counters connect) form the core loop. The deck floods the board with creatures like Gyre Sage, Kami of Whispered Hopes, and Fathom Mage, then proliferates relentlessly using Evolution Sage, Thrummingbird, and Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus to multiply counters. Primary wins come from overwhelming combat (often with Herald of Secret Streams making creatures unblockable or Chocobo Knights granting double strike) or the alt-win condition Simic Ascendancy. The deck lacks fast combos or tutors, relying on card draw and natural synergy to grind out value.
