Gandalf Party Time by user2918997

Format: Commander

Commander: Gandalf, Party Guest

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Jeskai legendary-Wizards value deck helmed by Gandalf, Party Guest, whose combat trigger free-casts an instant or sorcery with mana value up to twice your legendary Wizard count. The deck's engine is its density of legendary Wizards - Gandalf the White, Gandalf the Grey, Baral, Chief of Compliance, Venat, Heart of Hydaelyn, and a dozen more - which both power the commander's X and feed Gandalf the White's trigger-doubling. The primary win is chained extra turns (Temporal Mastery, Nexus of Fate, Time Stretch, Expropriate) culminating in a double-cast Approach of the Second Sun, with combat fallbacks through Glamdring, Insurrection, and Savage Beating. It plays as a slow, controlling value pile that out-cards the table, then closes with a single overwhelming turn.
