New Untitled Deck by hagi2613

Format: Commander

Commander: Hakbal of the Surging Soul

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Hakbal of the Surging Soul leads a Simic Merfolk deck that converts explore triggers into a growing army of +1/+1 counters and extra land drops. The primary plan is to build a wide Merfolk board, accelerate with Hakbal's combat explore, then break through with Herald of Secret Streams and islandwalk lords. Secondary paths include a Simic Ascendancy counter-win and a token engine with Deeproot Waters and Reflections of Littjara. Emperor Mihail II is the hidden commander in the 99, allowing Merfolk to be cast from the top while creating tokens; Realmwalker is a backup. Winning is done by unblockable combat rather than combo.
