Deck overview

This deck is a specialized Golgari Insect Aristocrats strategy piloted by Zask, Skittering Swarmlord. It blends tribal synergy, self-mill, and landfall engines to turn the graveyard into a second hand. Early turns focus on accelerating mana via land-ramp spells to deploy Zask by Turn 4. Once Zask is in play, every Insect death mills cards while tucking the creature to the bottom of the library, creating an expanding zone of playable cards. The primary win condition leverages a unique interaction between Zask and Verdant Succession: because Zask tucks dying green nontoken Insects back into the library, Verdant Succession can tutor them directly back into play. With a sacrifice outlet like Phyrexian Altar or Ashnod's Altar, this generates infinite sacrifice triggers, infinite mana, and entire-deck mill, converting immediately into a table-wide lethal drain through Aatchik, Emerald Radian.
