Deck overview

This Golgari deck transforms deathtouch creatures into lethal poison delivery vehicles and oppressive board-control tools. Commanded by The Serpent Society, the list deploys low-cost deathtouch creatures early to secure safe combat attacks and establish an agonizing dilemma for opponents: blocking trades down and triggers asymmetric nontoken sacrifices, while not blocking allows poison counters to accumulate rapidly via Fynn, the Fangbearer, Bloated Contaminator, and proliferate engines. The deck blends aggressive combat mechanics with an aristocratic attrition engine, using cards like Vraska, the Silencer to harvest dead opposing creatures for mana and Dolmen Gate to make attacks entirely risk-free. Supported by resilient recursion spells and potent Golgari removal like Assassin's Trophy and Culling Ritual, the deck methodically strips away opposing blockers and life totals, culminating in overrun finishes with Triumph of the Hordes or unavoidable poison lethal on Turn 8.
