Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius tempo and counters midrange deck commanded by Denzilore Fatehold. The strategy establishes early board presence using low-cost evasive creatures, scry/surveil enablers, and 'Empower Jace' planeswalker tokens. Once Denzilore enters the battlefield—often using flash on an opponent's end step—every scry or surveil action places a +1/+1 counter on all controlled creatures. This rapidly builds a formidable aerial army. Card selection from scrying and planeswalker loyalty abilities maintains a steady stream of gas and interaction. The deck protects its board with counterspells, hexproof granting from Teyo, Lightshield Expert, and indestructible from Duty Beyond Death. Offensively, asymmetric tools like Wave Goodbye clear the path of opposing blockers, allowing the growing flying forces to eliminate opponents through cumulative combat damage.
