Deck overview

This deck is a Sultai graveyard midrange strategy commanded by Teval, the Balanced Scale. It combines Zombie tribal synergies with self-mill, land recursion, and aristocrat drain effects. In the early game, cheap ramp spells accelerate Teval onto the battlefield by Turn 3 or 4. Attacking with Teval mills cards, returns lands directly to play, and generates a steady stream of Zombie tokens. As the graveyard fills with creature cards, the deck transitions into the late game through powerful reanimation spells like Living Death and Zombie Apocalypse. Multiple Zombie lords boost token power, while cards like Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Diregraf Captain, and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord provide heavy life drain. While highly resilient against single-target removal due to recursive engines, the deck remains vulnerable to mass exile sweepers and dedicated graveyard hate.
