Format: Commander

Commander: Marchesa, the Black Rose

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Marchesa, the Black Rose leads a grind deck built on +1/+1 counters, sacrifice, and resilient returns. The main route is to keep counter-bearing creatures dying so Marchesa returns them, then use evasion pieces such as Hagra Constrictor and Skatewing Spy to turn the buried board into attackers. Secondary paths are sacrifice-and-drain with Forge Boss, Goblin Bombardment, Dictate of Erebos, and Grave Betrayal, plus top-of-library engines like Bolas's Citadel and Into the Pit. There is no hidden commander; Tergrid and Kess are supporting pieces, not the build center. Marchesa's role is the reusable engine, not the main lethal threat; the deck closes through a Master of Cruelties return line or gradual attrition.
