Deck overview

This Esper Sphinx tribal deck is helmed by **Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign**, whose attack trigger lets you cast odd-mana-value spells from the top of your library for free. The primary game plan is to ramp into Yennett early, suit her up with protection, and chain high-value odd-CMC spells-like **Magister Sphinx**, **Brilliant Ultimatum**, or **In Garruk's Wake**-to generate massive card advantage and board control. Sphinx synergies, including **Valkyrie's Call** for recursion and **Windreader Sphinx** for additional draw, provide a resilient flying beatdown backup. The deck wins through incremental combat damage with unblockable or evasive threats, supplemented by life-total manipulation (Magister Sphinx) and devotion-based drain (**Gray Merchant of Asphodel**). It is a high-curve, value-oriented build that rewards careful sequencing and setting up the top of the deck.
