Deck overview

This deck is an Esper aggro-reanimator list commanded by Raffine, Scheming Seer. Its core game plan revolves around deploying low-cost, evasive creatures in the opening turns, casting Raffine on curve, and attacking to trigger large connive abilities. Conniving serves a dual role: it provides deep card filtering to locate interaction and key payoffs while placing +1/+1 counters onto attackers to build a formidable combat clock. Simultaneously, discarding high-impact creatures feeds a dedicated reanimation package containing Reanimate, Animate Dead, Victimize, and Living Death. Mid-game payoffs such as Knowledge Is Power, Ultron, Unlimited, and Kamiz, Obscura Oculus translate card draws and modifications into decisive combat advantages. The deck runs robust removal to interact with diverse permanent types, relying on steady aerial beatdown and reanimation tempo to close out games across multiple combat steps.
