Deck overview

This Golgari deck uses lifegain synergies, token production, and +1/+1 counters led by Blech, Loafing Pest. The deck ramps quickly into token engines using Pests and Insects, turning lifegain triggers into substantial board buffs. While it can pressure opponents through combat damage enhanced by Triumph of the Hordes or broad aristocrat drain effects, its fastest route to victory is assembling an infinite lifegain/life-drain loop using Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror with Dina, Soul Steeper, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, or Enduring Tenacity. Strong black tutors guarantee access to missing combo pieces, while cards like Defense Grid, Veil of Summer, and Heroic Intervention protect the win window.
