Deck overview

Led by The Great Goblin, this Rakdos deck combines aggressive Goblin and Orc tribal synergies with +1/+1 counter placement and aristocrat death triggers. The primary strategy centers on assembling an early swarm of Goblins, Orcs, and Amass tokens. Whenever counters are placed on these creatures, The Great Goblin burns opponents for two damage, turning mechanics like Amass and lord buffs into direct damage. When your creatures die, the commander exiles the top card of your library to play until the end of your next turn, supplying consistent impulse card flow. Key powerhouses like Krenko, Mob Boss, Muxus, Goblin Grandee, and Metallic Mimic rapidly expand the board and accelerate both combat pressure and burn triggers. The deck protects its board using Goblin Chirurgeon and Hexing Squelcher, while disrupting opponents with versatile removal like Bedevil and Rakdos Charm. It reliably closes games on Turn 8 through wide combat swings and inevitable burn.
