Deck overview

This is an Abzan Cats-and-Zombies tribal midrange deck helmed by Olag and Miau, New Friends. The game plan is to flood the board with Cats, Zombies, and changelings, pump them with lords and +1/+1 counters, then convert that width into table-wide life loss. The commander rewards mixed tribal ETBs with counters and drains each opponent at end step for every tapped Cat or Zombie you control-synergizing cleanly with tap-outlet engines like Cryptolith Rite and the parallel drain of Throne of the God-Pharaoh. Secondary paths include combat through oversized modified bodies, devotion spikes off Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and attrition loops involving Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, persist from Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight, and counter warehouses (The Ozolith, Ozolith, the Shattered Spire). The deck wins by overwhelming the table with simultaneous drain and combat rather than a single fragile combo turn.
