Deck overview

This Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow deck is a high-speed Dimir tempo list designed to leverage cheap evasive creatures and Commander Ninjutsu to establish an early card-advantage and life-drain engine. By deploying zero- and one-drop enablers on Turn 1, the deck reliably puts Yuriko into play on Turn 2, bypassing the commander tax and dodging traditional countermagic. As additional Ninjas enter the battlefield, the deck manipulates the top of the library with spells like Brainstorm, Lim-Dûl's Vault, and Scheming Symmetry to reveal high-mana spells such as Shadow of Mortality and Dig Through Time, dealing lethal damage to all opponents simultaneously. Backed by free and one-mana counterspells, efficient removal, and stax pieces like Cursed Totem and Grafdigger's Cage, the deck effectively disrupts opposing game plans while maintaining momentum. Additionally, the deck carries a compact secondary win condition in Thassa's Oracle and Demonic Consultation for non-combat victories.
