Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis kindred midrange strategy helmed by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The deck revolves around the Villain creature type, connive mechanics, and graveyard value engines. Early turns focus on mana rocks and low-curve Villains such as Prowler, Clawed Thief and Typhoid Mary, Fractured. Casting Doctor Doom on Turn 4 begins continuous card filtering and incidental life loss whenever lands are discarded. Mid-game turns scale token production via Madame Hydra, Crimson Cowl, Master of Evil, and Ultron, Unlimited, turning menace into unblockable chip damage. Anthems and top-end Villains like The Squadron Sinister and Doctor Octopus, Master Planner push the game toward a combat-based finish alongside non-combat drain from Doom Reigns Supreme. The deck features solid interactive removal and board clears, but lacks fast mana and dedicated combo lines, resulting in a fair, highly thematic combat clock.
