Deck overview

Thalia and The Gitrog Monster is an Abzan lands-matter value deck that uses an extra land drop each turn to trigger landfall engines and generate unstoppable board states. The commander also slows opponents with first-strike deathtouch and an enters-tapped tax. The primary plan is to assemble a landfall payoff like Avenger of Zendikar, Felidar Retreat, or Scute Swarm, then amplify the board with Bristly Bill or Finale of Devastation. Robust land recursion means sacrificing lands to the commander's attack trigger is a feature, not a cost. Winning usually comes through combat with huge token armies; there is no infinite combo.
