Commander: Hermes, Overseer of Elpis

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-blue Bird-token tempo deck built around Hermes, Overseer of Elpis. The primary plan is to cast cheap instants and sorceries to generate Bird tokens, then use flying evasions and draw engines to bury opponents in card advantage. The deck wins through repeated combat damage from a wide Bird army, often accelerated by extra turns or mass token generation. The commander is the central engine, but the deck also contains several independent token and draw pieces that allow it to function at a reduced level if Hermes is removed. The hidden commander is the back face of Invasion of Segovia, Caetus, Sea Tyrant of Segovia, which turns every noncreature spell into a convoke enabler and provides a powerful untap engine.
