Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos forced-combat and group-slug strategy commanded by Kardur, Doomscourge. Its game plan centers on turning opponents against each other by repeatedly forcing all opposing creatures into combat while draining life as creatures die. The early game focuses on deploying mana rocks and establishing minor draw engines or defensive deterrents like Brash Taunter. On Turn 4, casting Kardur forces a turn cycle of mutual destruction among opposing boards. In the mid-to-late game, the deck accelerates table elimination through damage doublers like Dictate of the Twin Gods, punishing slug creatures like Kaervek the Merciless, and mass reanimation via Sepulchral Primordial. A comprehensive suite of spot removal and sweepers keeps opposing boards manageable, while the natural drain from Kardur finishes off weakened opponents around Turn 8.
