Deck overview

This mono-green deck commands an army of gargantuan Wurms led by Baru, Wurmspeaker. The strategy accelerates mana during early turns using land ramp, creature dorks like Fanatic of Rhonas, and artifacts before deploying massive threats like Impervious Greatwurm, Worldspine Wurm, and Wurmcoil Engine. Baru provides static +2/+2 anthems and trample while generating additional 4/4 Wurm tokens at a steep discount based on the largest Wurm in play. Power-based card draw engines such as Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, and Rishkar's Expertise keep the hand full of threats. Alternative deployment engines like Monster Manual, Elvish Piper, and Quicksilver Amulet bypass high mana costs. While vulnerable to creature sweepers due to limited haste and tutor access, the deck generates overwhelming trampling combat damage capable of flattening opponents in two to three combat steps.
