Thorin Oakenshield by SPAZtheDJ

Format: Commander

Commander: Thorin Oakenshield

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thorin Oakenshield leads a Boros Dwarf/Equipment deck that aims to assemble an 'enduring story' with three artifacts, legendaries, and/or Sagas, then use ward and efficient equipping to push through combat damage. The commander serves as a durable attacker and protection engine, while the deck's secondary paths involve token generation and treasure ramp. Hidden commanders include Magda, Brazen Outlaw, who can tutor Dragons, and Bruenor Battlehammer, who magnifies Equipment synergy. The deck wins by suiting up a Dwarf with multiple Equipment and using double strike or direct damage from Smaug to close out games.
