Deck overview

Zaxara, the Exemplary commands a Sultai Big Mana deck that pairs X-cost spells with Hydra tribal synergies. The strategy accelerates mana during early turns, casts Zaxara to turn every subsequent X-spell into a scaling Hydra token, and overruns opponents with massive trampling creatures. Enablers like Unbound Flourishing, Corpsejack Menace, and Garruk's Uprising double counter values and grant trample, turning moderate investments into overwhelming board states. In addition to combat dominance, the deck includes a two-card infinite mana combo between Zaxara and Freed from the Real, which enables instant wins via Exsanguinate or drawing the entire library with Pull from Tomorrow. Flexible interaction like Curse of the Swine, Pest Infestation, Assassin's Trophy, and Beast Within keeps opposing threats in check. High mana density and strong death triggers ensure steady rebuilding after board wipes, making the deck a resilient midrange powerhouse.
