Elminster by Tremblay89

Format: Commander

Commander: Elminster

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Elminster is a scry/planeswalker token engine: every scry discounts the next instant or sorcery, and his -3 creates a flying army from the top card of the library. The primary plan is to establish Elminster, chain cantrips and scry permanents to cheapen a massive payoff such as Approach of the Second Sun, Storm Herd, Aminatou's Augury, or Clone Legion, then finish with flying tokens boosted by anthems and token doublers. Secondary paths are the Approach + Narset's Reversal loop and the Hullbreaker Horror + Sol Ring mana engine into Entreat the Angels. Teferi, Time Raveler and counterspells buy time. There is no hidden commander; Oji and Talrand are utility pieces, not alternate generals.
